The Nigerian-born Afro-Rmb/Pop sensation Didee Eta, son to veteran music DJ and music distributor, Bro Barry Eta, is doing way more than creating just music but a distinct sound. He was raised by both parents in Surulere but hails from Cross River State. His initial career choice was to be a medical doctor but his artistic skills were put more to use due to his love for the arts.
He began mainly as a report writer with the Future Awards and then went on to the biggest music publication company, Soundcity Blast Magazine, where he was a staff writer with the full intention of building his knowledge on the music scene. Didee Eta further perfected his artic=stic craft by enrolling at the New York Film Academy, brought to Nigeria by Delyork Institute, attaining a diploma in Screen Writing.
In 2013, he was officially featured on a track titled ‘I’ll be fine’ by a British/Nigerian rapper which put him on the stage at such places as Industry Night, Fela Kuti’s Shrine, Bogobiri, along with events and club appearances.
Following up on his musical exploits, in 2014 he released three singles of his yet-to-be-released EP titles ‘Da Ke’, which got him his first nomination and win from the Top Naija Music Award as an Artiste with Potential. Didee Eta kept promoting the singles making wedding appearances, event performances at Felabration, ABC Lounge, Freedom Park and Shaunz Bar. He also did radio interviews with his father on NTA while still stepping into the studio to record three covers which includes his version of the Coca-Cola theme song, as well as additional tracks on his Da Ke EP, which is a compiled expression of his interest in Afro Beat, Jazz, House, RnB/Soul, Reggae and Pop.
He recently released a single off his Da Ke EP, Show Dem, which is receiving good airplay on Hi-Life radio (Canada), Afrodicia radio and KPOO radio (both USA), and Brownhill radio (Nigeria).
